About Our Client

Our client is one of the UK's largest FMCG suppliers to the Top 4 supermarkets. With numerous sites across the country, they offer a vast array of products within the Chilled, Frozen and Ambient Markets.

This particular division of the business, based near Sheffield focuses on the most profitable part of the business - the Convenience channel.

Job Description

The business require the Category Supply Analyst to:

  • Manipulate data to convert it into standard reports tracking the KPIs for the category at the required frequency.
  • Summarise report content concisely and lead action in the required areas with the relevant customer or teams.
  • Prepare pro-active recommendations and proposals for further investigation in to supply and sales improvements.
  • Build a strong relationship with Customer teams and work closely with them to achieve the joint KPI's of the category.
  • Respond to ad-hoc queries and issue related requests regarding KPIs and Category performance from internal and external customers to enable decisions to be taken regarding the category.
  • Co-ordinate supply activities required to deliver the category plan and monitor performance of the activities against objectives.

The role is a split role, based partly at ASDA House within the Category/Marketing team in Leeds and also at the supplier Head Office near Sheffield.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Category Supply Analyst will possess the following experience:

  • Ensuring reports delivered on time and in full
  • Producing reports that are user-friendly / easy to read with clear actions
  • Meeting tight deadlines
  • Monitoring of volume / Sales / Waste and Availability - top line and detail
  • Identifying opportunities to drive sales through improved availability and implement appropriately
  • Producing daily and weekly category reports
  • Delivering pro-active analysis and investigation where sales are not being optimised due to changes in ordering/ranging/product mix
