Job Description

The Central Operations Director will be responsible for:

  • Providing strong leadership and development of operational teams/direct reports including awareness of depot resource, training and development of our workforce
  • Delivering sustainable key metrics to the Board Of Directors to include: Timed delivery performance, fuel and efficiency in delivery, transit liability targets, additional recruitment resource and road traffic collisions.
  • Budgetary control to include P&L of operational costs.
  • Maintaining, monitoring and facilitating the fleet
  • Legal compliance standards to include OCR Working Time Directive, tachograph legalisation and DCPC.
  • Direct management of Health & Safety; identify risk to business, facilitate audits and provide department improvements.
  • Control of our Customer Service Department, providing support to our Group Customer Service Manager.

The Successful Applicant

The Central Operations Director will have the following:

  • Exposure to working at Directorship level
  • CPC qualified Ntl & Intl
  • Experience in express delivery
  • Fleet management experience
  • A proven people manager
  • Experience of managing large P&Ls
