This Role is with a leading Health Charity, based in Central London.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up new fundraising initiatives, to reach ambitious targets and appeal to a diverse pool of individuals.
  • Work with other members of the team to set up a variety of CAP events.
  • Support key members of the Communications Team, by using a variety of media to attract new supporters.
  • Seek and inspire a new following of individuals, encouraging them to subscribe to fundraising events, associated with the organisation.
  • Aid others to make financial contributions during the challenge events, to increase funds and income.
  • Work with stakeholders, with the intention to develop future projects.
  • Support the Communications team on a variety of events, projects and campaigns.
  • Provide administrative support and take responsibility as a main contact for those supporting the CAP events
  • Support the challenge events by being present. This will require flexibility with working hours, especially during weekends.
  • Use social media as a way to appreciate and recognise challenge teams.
  • Assist the teams to achieve a six figure income.
  • During sporting events, help and advise those involved.
  • Organise with the line manager yearly fundraising events.

The Successful Applicant

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience having a great amount of responsibility raising fundraising income.
  • Experience working in a charity organisation, which involved working on Challenge Events.
  • Experience working and generating income.
  • Awareness of raising money from events/campaigns such as Challenge Events.
  • Ability to communicate in an appropriate way, with others on the phone and face to face.
  • Copywriting, social media and financial literacy skills are necessary.
  • Knowledge of IT software platforms and budget management is desirable.
  • Working well under pressure.
  • Prioritising tasks and organising them in a way, which pays attention to detail.
  • Remain confidential and professional with certain information.
  • Promote the organisation's vision and values.
  • Willing to be flexible with travel and working hours (especially during events and weekends).
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
  • A certificate in Fundraising is preferable.
