Job Description

  • Manage a portfolio of client relationships with a fee base of ~ £250k predominantly comprised of London based tech start-ups and craft breweries.
  • Leverage their cutting edge cloud technology to monitor the financial health of your client base.
  • Advise clients on trends and issues facing their business and industry.
  • Regularly meet with clients face to face or via Skype to keep abreast of developments in their business.
  • Manage and schedule the work of junior colleagues as well as training and coaching accordingly.
  • Take responsibility for the clients accounting and financial control needs by performing rigorous validation and review of financial reports produced by colleagues.
  • Devise novel tax solutions to meet the needs of the clients either in house or by working closely with our tax partners.
  • Work with the director to integrate 3rd party cloud software solutions to deliver a world class practice management platform.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of pitches for new business.
  • Manage the sales pipeline of new business to maximise conversion rate.
  • Assist with marketing initiatives to grow the practice.

The Successful Applicant

  • ACA qualified with from a top UK firm
  • Able to manage a wide range of client relationships and deliver on their demands
  • Must possess a commercial mind-set with the relevant skills to attend marketing events and deliver sales pitches.
  • Must be autonomous, resilient and able to employ a logical approach to problem solving.
  • Other than MS Office, systems experience isn’t necessary. You will be trained to work with Iris, Xero, Receipt Bank, Crunchboards, Capsule and Slack.

What's on Offer

This opportunity will be based in the administrative headquarters in the heart of St. Albans with approximately two days a week spent conducting client meetings in Shoreditch, London, and working from the offices there. The role offers the prospect of flexible working, with an annual salary of £50,000 - £60,000 dependent upon experience and excellent training. There is also a discretionary bonus scheme based on the performance of the firm and to reward exceptional achievement.
