About Our Client
Centralised bank based in London
The Collateral Operations Manager will be reporting to the Head of Middle Office, the role is responsible for the end-to-end operational management of the (predominantly loan pool) collateral positioned with the Bank and for maintaining counterparty and system records and data flows across the Bank's market operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for team outputs as well as work of their own.
The jobholder will be a key contact responsible for informing and then implementing policy and for running the Bank's policy operations. That involves working with / managing input from other teams across Markets & Banking - for example, working with the front office divisions on operationalising new policy initiatives; with the risk management divisions on implementing risk and collateral policy changes; with the COO and Technology divisions on process and system change; and with back office on settlement and payment systems and market infrastructure change.
A project is also underway looking to replace the existing set of middle office operational systems and, working with the project team, this role and the team will play a key role in ensuring a successful delivery.

The Successful Applicant
The Collateral Operations Manager must have the ability and drive to build and develop the role. The right aptitude for wanting to learn, getting involved and making things happen is essential. Working with a range of teams across a number of Divisions and Directorates at different levels means that strong relationship management and excellent delivery skills are a must.
This is a manager level position so the successful candidate must also be able to demonstrate strong analytical, communication and organisational skills, as well as have experience of managing / working with others and the ability to develop the team.
