Job Description

To influence & drive all commercial aspects of the company strategy

The uniqueness of this challenge is to extract additional value from a well established, profitable and respected process of doing business which will require skillful & sensitive handling

To ensure that each discipline within the business is focused on delivering commercial outcomes whilst building & maintaining strong client relationships

Through innovation, determination & intellectual "horse-power" working cross-functionally to challenge the boundaries of "what's possible" to accelerate profitable growth

Reporting to and working very closely with the Managing Director, to further develop the business as the leader in its chosen market

The Successful Applicant

P&L savvy - probably a qualified accountant

Highly commercial

Intellectually powerful - educated to degree level

Assimilates the context & related information quickly & accurately

Charismatic, clear & concise - delivers a message with clarity & conviction

Alert, bright & energetic with a relentless determination to make a difference

Conscientious - thrives in circumstances where multi-tasking & constantly changing priorities are the norm

Client focused - understand the critical importance of building sustainable relationships

Culture fitter - able to be both part of the organisation & deliver change as required

Straightforward, respectful, honest with a degree of humility

5-10 years experience in a commercial role within a contemporary (not necessarily construction), client-facing organisation

Responsible for managing people & teams

Track record of demonstrable commercial success

Successfully & sensitively managed change in a complex, highly competitive market sector
