Commercial Management Accountant
- Interim Management Accountant with VAT experience
- NAVISION or Microsoft Dynamics system experience
About Our Client
The client is a large representative body for the medical profession, providing services, publications and legal support for members; commercial activity includes corporate events and private rental. The team is currently looking for fast-paced and commercially driven individuals to assist in an increasingly profit-driven approach.
-Preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts, including KPI's.
-Work with the Finance Business Partners to produce consolidation of annual budgets and forecasts for review; and liaise with the non-finance stakeholders to manage budget variances.
-Preparation of the UK and international VAT returns.
-Ensure monthly journals are completed with accuracy and on a timely basis.
-Provision of financial information to department managers.
-Supportive role in system testing and liaising with external consultants to implement the new system.
-Assist on the preparation of the group statutory accounts.
-Reconciliation of all major control accounts.
-Support the treasury function.
The Successful Applicant
-Preferably newly qualified, or qualified by experience level CCAB accountant, e.g. ACCA or CIMA.
-Experience in the commercial sector, or a fast-paced environment focusing on increasing profits would be ideal.
-Posses a good understanding of both financial and management accounting techniques, spanning across budgeting and forecasting.
-Understanding and experience of UK VAT is essential.
-Intermediate or advanced level excel user, able to work with vlookups and pivot tables.
-Brilliant interpersonal skills in order to communicate and communicate financial matters.
-Can provide examples of where you have helped an organisation improve, or made an impact.
-Experience or knowledge of the Navision system is ideal but not necessary. Alternatively, experience in using SAGE, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics would be helpful.
-Highly accurate and timely individual, able to work to tight deadlines.
