Job Description

Main Accountabilities for Commercial Marketing Manager

  1. Lead and inspire cross-functional, cross disciple and cross-market teams to deliver initiative that will increase category/product performance.
  • Provide initial commercial and project direction: establish the commercial case for taking action and work with the markets to scope out and engage resources required to develop and execute what's needed.
  • Ensure all project milestones are communicated to markets and across group teams: keep abreast of progress and motivate and influence all members to take correct measures if required.
  • Continually foster strong collaborative working relationship across all functions, categories and markets.
  • As required by project, spend regular, face to face or in-market time to gain a full and broad understanding on the market issues, allowing flexibility and fast reactions to fix problems.
  1. Ownership of global claims.
  • Take leadership and work collaboratively with claims & performance and the global legal teams to ensure we continually improve and strengthen our product claims. Ensuring we constantly remain competitive in all markets.
  • Effectively communicate and manage claims updates to all key stakeholders, ensure a timely and well executed implementation plan.
  1. Champion investing in people:

  • Build category, product and competitor knowledge of the global Professional team, via leadership, execution and continual improvement of the "knowledge" training program.


  1. Build a global marketing success model:

  • Design, build and implement a consistent model to measure marketing activity success.
  • Lead bi-annual reviews of all global marketing activity, gleam learning's and use this learning's to help shape & improve H2 2016/2017 marketing plans.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Commercial Marketing Manager will need to establish themselves as the respected marketing lead and work closely with the territory sales directors and marketing managers to deliver our plans. Success in the role will be dependent on influencing, relationship building and working cross-functionally with creative, claims and legal to deliver agreed strategic objectives.
