About Our Client

The water industry has evolved hugely and as the industry prepares for retail separation in 2017, there will be even bigger implications for our business as we prepare for this new competitive market. Working in a regulated industry means we need to continually innovate and improve in order to deliver and exceed our business goals.

The Procurement team sits at the heart of Thames Water; responsible for £1.6bn spend annually, our work literally keeps the network flowing, ensuring no disruption to supply for our customers. On average we run over 100 procurements pa, managing up to 60 procurements at any one time.

We are innovators in the industry, breaking the mould of how Procurement has been done and receiving industry recognition for our ground breaking work. We have led the move away from lengthy Procurement processes that place significant resource demands on suppliers and add unnecessary additional costs.

We are developing the Alliance Academy to identify and leverage the collective talent that exists both internally and within our supply chain partners. We recognise that we have a huge amount of untapped potential that we need to nurture and exploit.
