About Our Client

My client are a not-for-profit organisation based in Buckinghamshire who communicate their services to both the customer and businesses across the UK through on and offline channels. With a good sized communications department, this is an excellent opportunity for a Communications Manager to join a busy team.

Job Description

The Communications Manager will be involved in;

  • Using both traditional and digital media channels, website management, production of publications and marketing materials and support for conference and events, to aid the planning and delivery of a communications schedule.
  • Developing and maintaining brand identities by acting as brand custodian for the organisation and the client companies they support.
  • Being proactive in terms of communications activity focused on key issues and projects.
  • Managing engagement with the media proactively and reactively.
  • Controlling the capture and measurement of content and messages delivered across media and other significant campaign channels.
  • Monitoring the traffic websites and coming up with new ways to maintain repeat and attract and new visitors.
  • Acting as both a writer and editor, overseeing individuals and committees responsible for delivering content to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Managing and maintaining the design and content for social media campaigns, branded websites and publications.

The Successful Applicant

  • Ideally a minimum of QCF level 6 (degree level or equivalent).
  • PR/ Comms experience (in house or agency) - having successfully delivered advertising and social media campaigns, also with copywriting experience.
  • Proven strategic capability, with experience of project and budget management.
  • A comprehensive understanding of best practice within communications and marketing i.e. PR, social media, corporate affairs, internal comms, stakeholder engagement and campaign management.

What's on Offer

Salary is competitive, offering between £35,000 and £39,000 depending on experience.
