Job Description

  1. Support the delivery of the Trust's communications strategy

  1. Work on all promotional media activity, including proactive press releases, feature negotiation, managing media interviews to ensure coverage is gained to increase the profile of the Trust and charity.

  1. To support the Head of Communications on highly complex and sensitive reactive and negative media enquiries.

  1. Organise and project manage communications and publicity campaigns for the Trust.

5 Write all content and manage the production of the Trust's weekly newsletter.

6 Provide detailed communications advice regarding the media and other channels to the Trust's Executive Team, Divisions and Departments.

7 Work closely with other departments across the Trust to make sure that communications are co-, consistent, accurate, up-to-date and of high quality.

8 Update the Trust's Intranet and websites to ensure delivery of information in a timely manner.

9 Ensure effective utilisation of social media channels to promote the Trust's services, campaigns and corporate information.

10 Supporting special events, campaigns and VIP visits to the Trust.

11 Ensure contacts for communications cascade systems are kept up to date.

12 Ensure that all activities are kept within agreed budgets to guarantee effective and appropriate use of Trust resources.

13 Keep the Head of Communications aware of relevant information on an ongoing basis to ensure clarity of communication.

14 Comply with the Trust's Employment and Health and Safety requirements.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will come from an NHS background.
