About Our Client

  • Some experience in Public Relations or Marketing.
  • Educated to equivalent of degree level, or with relevant professional qualifications (CIPR, CAM, CIM) is preferable but not always essential.
  • Ability to keep calm during a PR crisis and respond creatively to challenges.

Job Description

    • To build and maintain relationships with relevant media, including a PR database to manage key relationships.
    • To keep up to date in major developments in policy and legislation relating to the social housing sector.
    • To manage Twitter and Facebook accounts and provide an overall social media strategy
    • To prepare press releases and statements.
    • To respond to media and news enquiries from national, regional, trade and digital stakeholders
    • To write winning award entries.
    • To plan, develop and implement multi-channel campaigns.
    • To develop and manage relations with local and trade press to maximise positive coverage of the association's activities.
    • To support the digital editor/manager with maintaining the intranet and company website when required.
    • To support the graphic designer in the production of leaflets, brochures and other promotional material when required.
    • To work closely with the head of staff engagement on staff events and initiatives.
    • To assist in the production of the departmental budget and maintain records for expenditure on public relations activities.

    The Successful Applicant

    • To carry out activities in Communications Strategy.
    • To provide wide-ranging PR support to the various organisations and directorates within the as directed by the Communications Manager.
    • To proactively identify PR opportunities such as event speaking opportunities -To be responsible for the production of key documents and promotional material such as annual reports and newsletters. To provide design, writing and editing services and to manage and develop Group brand and monitor its application. To provide communications advice to various departments and to organise PR events as and when necessary.
