The client is a world renowned financial services institution with an emphasis on expanding and growing their already established footprint on the global market.

Job Description

The Competition Lawyer will look at:

Competition and regulatory issues across EMEA.

Operate within the areas of: card issuing, payment solutions for business customers and the network business.

Interfacing with other GCO lawyers, business personnel, Compliance, Operational Risk, Government Affairs, external bodies and regulators, providing a wide range of people facing activities in relation tot he overall legal function.

The role is based in London and will report to the VP and Senior Counsel who heads up the Competition Law and Regulatory team of GCO EMEA.

Building positive working relationships with relevant competition law and payment services regulators.

The Successful Applicant

The Competition Lawyer will have:

At least 3 years + completion Law experience ( EU)

Come from FS but not a prerequisite

Qualification in the EU, and desire to become English Qualified (if not already).

Post-graduate qualification in competition law desirable.
