About Our Client

My client is renowned for its fantastic brands within media, publishing and the events space. This role is based in their events arm of the business where they specialise in creating high quality B2B conferences featuring high-level speakers within industries such as marketing, PR, the environment, regeneration, charities, secure computing, wind, children services and nursery care.

Job Description

The primary focus of the Conference Marketing Executive is to work with the events team under the guidance of the Marketing Manager to produce innovative digital and direct marketing plans to drive delegate and sponsorship revenue.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Development and implementation of digital and direct marketing plans to meet revenue and KPI targets
  • To create innovative social media and digital marketing initiatives to increase customer engagement and drive delegate sign up
  • To fully utilise on- and off-line media channels to best effect
  • To brief and work with external designers to create stand-out marketing collateral
  • Monitor marketing activity against agreed measures to ensure the effective marketing methods are being used across the group
  • Maintain marketing promotional budgets, ensuring that are spent as effectively as possible
  • To create and manage media partnerships with key associations, publications and trade bodies
  • Produce timely and accurate detailed response analysis reports on an event by event basis
  • To work with event speakers and sponsors to gain their buy in to promote our events
  • To use web analytics tools to inform marketing plans and help streamline the effectiveness of our campaigns
  • Develop close working relationships with other members of the E&E senior management team
  • To manage relationships with designers, printers, mailing houses, list brokers and other suppliers, and ensure they are invoiced and paid on time
  • Attend regular meetings with conference/publishing teams to update them on marketing plans and results
  • Liaising with all Data Operations teams to ensure that the appropriate levels of data are collected and managed professionally, cost-effectively, legally, and in line with relevant formats and standards.
  • Ad hoc support of wider business initiatives/projects as they arise

The Successful Applicant

Knowledge & Experience

At least 1/2 years events/conference marketing experience, ideally in the energy & environment or medical sector

Good eye for creative and what works in a digital marketing environment

  • Knowledge of Google Adwords and Google Analytics
  • Experience of maintaining/managing promotional budgets
  • Excellent at meeting deadlines and targets

What's on Offer

A salary is on offer of up to £25,000 per annum + package based in their newly renovated office in Twickenham.
