About the role

Successful individuals will join our client's team where they will work with clients to redefine the way risk and regulation is seen. This team brings together expertise from across their wider business to help their clients to respond to the changing face of regulation and the impact of that to their business. Actively embracing change enhances reputations, delivering value to customers and long-term growth and profits. They support clients in four key areas.

  • By alerting clients to the financial and regulatory risks they are exposed to they help them understand the position their business is in and how to comply with the regulations. They can then turn risk and regulation to their advantage.
  • Adapting a business to achieve cultural change can pay dividends. Doing the right thing for customers and staff will continue to transform a client's business. By equipping them with the insights and tools they need, they help them to be better prepared to turn uncertainty into opportunity.
  • Even the best thought-through processes or products can sometimes fail. Our client helps clients to act swiftly to repair any damage so they can ensure that they build even greater levels of trust and confidence in their business.
  • Preparing for issues such as technical difficulties, operational failure or cyber-attacks is an important way to protect a business. Our client advises and support clients to design and implement the systems and processes that can make their business resilient, reliable and effective.

Working in our client's consulting practice, successful individuals will also be expected to:

  • Support business development by managing proposals and bids, and contributing to new market propositions.
  • Manage risk, financial and compliance procedures on their projects.

The Successful Applicant

Essential skills and experience

Essential Criteria (for both Manager and Senior Manager grades):

The successful individual(s) will have:

Experience in the Financial Services Risk and Regulation sector.

Proven knowledge of relevant rules, regulations and regimes, such as Know Your Customer (KYC), Client Assets Sourcebook (CASS) or Senior Manager and Certification regimes.

Demonstrable knowledge, skills and experience of delivering projects in one, or more, of the following areas:

  • Organisation design
  • Workforce transformation
  • Change management
  • Engagement, training and communications
  • Learning and development
  • Talent management and performance management

Demonstrable consulting skills, including excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective working relationships both internally and externally.

Proven ability to work successfully as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Proficiency in the Microsoft suite.

Degree level education, or equivalent

Additional Essential Criteria for Senior Manager grade:

Candidates interested in a role at a Senior Manager grade should indicate this on their CV. In addition to the essential criteria listed above, they will also be also be expected to demonstrate that they have:

  • Lead and managed complex projects and programmes, including associated budgets.
  • Engaged with and influenced senior stakeholders.
  • Lead and managed multidisciplinary teams.
