About Our Client

Our client is seeking a Contract Manager to provide dynamic and inspirational leadership to this key business contract.

This business are one of the longest standing companies in their field with an impressive portfolio of work that spans across Europe. You will be working for a successful retail client, at a single site, so experience in the retail or leisure industry would be an advantage.

This individual must lead and motivate the team and manage resources to deliver an effective and efficient business operation, which will achieve the budgeted financial results and deliver a performance that consistently exceeds the service level agreement standards set by the client.

Job Description

The key function of this Contract Manager role is to act as the principle point of contact between the business and the client, through identifying, establishing and maintaining positive business relationships. This will be achieved by attending regular client contract performance reviews (as well as various other key meetings), being proactive in discussions with the client on amending operating procedures or changing ways of working with a view to enhancing service levels and overall client satisfaction, and also developing opportunities to increase the scope of activity with a view to generating increased revenue and margins.

The role owns the budget for this contract and will work closely with finance to ensure the budget is managed and reported correctly.

In this position has complete operational responsibility which includes, recruitment, team management, being the primary contact for all external suppliers, measuring team performance and taking full responsibility for health and safety adherence and procedures.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum of 2 years contract management experience.
  • Experienced in setting and managing budgets and KPIs performance.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills; able to challenge, coach, motivate and train staff to produce positive results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at individual, team and group level and equally comfortable and effective in communicating with front line staff, managers, directors and members of the public.
  • Excellent relationship management skills and able to build, develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients, suppliers and internal support services.
  • Able to work under pressure, with a confident and resilient nature when dealing with contractual issues,
  • Ability to prioritise and manage high level tasks and directives which may conflict each other.
  • Able to produce informative and concise reports and make effective oral and written presentations
  • A working knowledge of Contract and Employment Law and Health and Safety.
  • Numerate and literate and experienced with Microsoft Office tools.

£35,000 - £40,000 based on experience.
