Job Description

 Oversee all contractual documentation (NDAs through to Framework Agreements with key clients) required by the business, whilst being supported by external solicitors & senior management as appropriate.

 Drafting the contractual documentation in conjunction with external advisers as appropriate.

 Design and implementation of an appropriate contract management system.

 Maintenance of best-practice legal documentation.

 Large contracts will initially be closely supported by the CFO and/or CEO.

 Demonstrate a track record in leading complex or challenging negotiations for the supply of software and services.

 Apply a creative and agile approach to negotiation to deliver outcome focused solutions whilst at all times cognisant of being a representative of the company.

 Think creatively about variables that can be traded to optimise the outcome for the company as part of a full negotiation plan/strategy.

 Work with others to promote a positive commercial outcome.

 Develop strategies to deal with commercial issues and challenges.

 Ensure commercial issues are actively and promptly resolved.

 Maintain strong links with legal advisors to ensure all contractual /commercial issues are well understood and robustly drafted.

 Build and maintain effective and trusting relationships with internal stakeholders and clients.

 Ensure open channels of communication and collaboration exist to support both issue resolution and identification of new opportunities. Capable of presenting at executive level both internally and externally.

 Tailor the distribution of communicated information for specific audiences and situations.

 Be assertive and challenging - hold stakeholders to account for compliance, adherence to policies and timescales.

 Develop and maintain effective and trusting relationships with key stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

 Significant Commercial/Contract Management experience.

 Expert negotiation skills.

 Self-starter, resilient and tenacious under pressure.

 Excellent contract definition skills and extensive experience adapting commercial terms.

 Experience of stakeholder engagement within a challenging environment.

 Shows a willingness to look for ideas or intelligence from outside the immediate team, their business, and their industry.

 Is visibly proactive in resolving potential difficulties and overcoming barriers.

 Shows an understanding of how to build trust with clients through their interactions.

 Excellent and demonstrable interpersonal skills.

 Strong education and/or appropriate professional qualification. (CIPS)
