Contracts Manager - Capital Works

Our client are an innovative Housing Association who are based in South Manchester. The Housing Association has over 5,000 properties and is currently looking to add an experienced Contracts Manager to the Asset Management team on an interim basis.

Job Description

Contracts Manager - Capital Works - Greater Manchester - Property and Housing

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading in the day to day delivery of the project management capital programme in a competent, timely and professional manner and to agreed budgets ensuring collaborative working with internal teams and external parties.

Key duties of the successful candidate will be to:

  1. Contribute to the design and development of investment strategies and policies within asset management.
  2. Oversee the budget management on all capital projects.
  3. Management of capital projects in line with the organisations Project Management methodology to ensure best practice construction project management is delivered throughout all capital projects within asset management.
  4. Support the Asset Manager in the development of a performance management culture by working collaboratively within the team and carrying out one to ones with staff and communicating levels of performance.

The Successful Applicant

Contracts Manager - Capital Works

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

- Experience within either social housing or the private sector management of construction and maintenance projects with a track record of delivering effective and efficient schemes.

- Excellent Analytical and organisational skills

- Experience of managing a broad range of construction projects.

- Experience in processing and delivering effective project management within statutory timescales, including procurement activities and the drafting and implementation of corporate reports.
