Job Description

Corporate Finance Relationship Manager:

Client Management

  • Take responsibility for progressing prospective clients through their journey, nurturing and retaining potential clients within the portfolio
  • Communicate effectively with prospective clients at all times, and maintain an appropriate level of contact required to ensure they are fully engaged with our offerings.

Business Development

  • Take responsibility for key aspects of prospective client meetings (valuation, research, industry insights, financials, buyer profiles, liaising closely with other content creators.
  • Become a trusted advisor to potential clients.
  • Be alive to business development opportunities

Client Relationship

  • Negotiating at a senior level with experienced influencers and decision makers with the purpose of securing high quality mandates
  • Be able to provide bespoke advice to clients at a commercial level
  • Be the first contact point for the clients when they need advice, have concerns and need guidance or encouragement.
  • Communicating and ensuring a thorough understanding of the process to prospective clients
  • Running effective meetings with prospective clients, leaving a client confident in you and the firm as organisation.
  • When required, attend Brief taking and Project Planning Meetings to ensure a smooth handover of client from Relationship Executive to Operations.
  • Confidently taking a brief and using the detail to write up a clear overview of our client's business
  • Taking responsibility to ensure client has signed all appropriate documentation
  • Ensuring all prospect information, accounts and communications are updated on the database/information systems
  • Travelling to clients in order to facilitate meetings and managing client relationship

Ensure Key Performance Indicators and monthly targets are met.

The Successful Applicant

Corporate Finance Relationship Manager:

The successful applicant will be key to expanding the business in to the mid-market, hence a driven, ambitious individual is essential.

Gravitas & credibility in advising businesses through CF transactions is vital. Due to the firm's established success & superb network the successful applicant will get plenty of high-quality leads. The successful individual will have the skills to convert these into business.

The successful applicant can be based anywhere in the South East England but will need to travel to Berkshire to the firm's HQ regularly.


  • ACA / ACCA qualified (preferred)
  • Corporate Finance background
  • Lead advisor across a range of sectors
  • Multiple transaction, and deal types
  • Entrepreneurial client base
  • Proven Business Development track record
  • Experience of managing accounts/ portfolio and relationships for multiple clients

Experience of presenting to clients, colleagues and advisors at a senior level.

Technical and Commercial skills:

  • Able to assess the needs and desires of business owners and the commercial reality of their business and advise clients on a broad range of solutions, including Trade Sales, Private Equity, MBI, MBO, and Growth Capital.
  • Able to quickly understand a client, their business, industry sector, financial performance
  • Ability to interpret Financial Models.
  • Good understanding of valuation techniques.
  • Ability to analyse all types of data, interpreting facts and figures, in particular financial information.

Client Relationship skills:

  • Ability to rapidly earn trusted advisor status.
  • An ability to identify a client's needs and present tailored proposals.
  • Ability to effectively manage client relationships, responding promptly to queries, ensuring commitments is adhered to and expectations managed.
  • Understanding of the importance of respect and confidentiality regarding client information.

Business Development skills:

  • Strong motivation and a positive approach to new business development.

Personal and convincing track record, generating confidence in our ability to deliver client
