My client is a personal lines insurance business. Founded in 2000, the company is a leading provider of car, home, travel and pet insurance. Through their insurance brands they provide cover for around two million customers on over 40 products including financial services, travel and business products, plus utilities and other household services

Job Description

The successful Data Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring reporting is delivered in a timely fashion so that performance can be tracked against sales and growth targets
  • Producing the desired analysis to inform the marketing decision-making process in where to best allocate marketing spend for maximum ROI
  • Supporting the Data Analysis Manager in key data projects
  • Ensuring documented data processes and governance are adhered to at all times
  • Ownership of the delivery and accuracy of Marketing's MI output - including the monitoring of all engagement, acquisition and conversion channels, and ensuring quotes and sales are correctly attributed to the right channel
  • Carrying out customer validation and match back analysis as part of ongoing affiliate marketing programme
  • Data extractions for direct marketing campaigns, ensuring data briefs are followed and challenged where appropriate
  • Conducting campaign analysis to monitor the effectiveness of all marketing activity
  • Providing statistical support for marketing activities (such as price savings substantiations) to be used across all marketing channels
  • Providing support and analysis on ad hoc projects across the Group, as directed by the Data Analysis Manager

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for this opportunity my client is looking for:

  • A good degree with a significant level of mathematical/statistical content
  • Highly computer literate with significant experience of SAS computer programming and other statistical packages
  • Proven experience using Adobe SiteCatalyst is essential. Experience of Adobe 'ad hoc analysis' (formerly known as Discover)
  • Proven track record of working with a wide variety of marketing
  • Have demonstrable experience of using data analysis skills; be able to interpret the data from web analytics tools and SAS databases, use advanced Excel functions to manipulate the data, and associate these analytics with the customer experience
  • Proven experience reporting on or presenting key findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Experience in using SAP Business Objects
  • Understanding how best to report on a variety of marketing channels, such as direct, aggregator, PPC and affiliates, is desirable
  • An understanding of Visual Basic is desirable
