About Our Client

International Legal Firm based in Birmingham with offices worldwide require a Data Migration Support Analyst to help move existing documents into a new eShare system

Job Description

This International Legal firm currently utilises an eShare system which is the electronic filing of documents and emails into a document managment system and is used by the fee earners and PA's to organise their work to provide a secure electronic file reducing the need for printed files.

This system has been successful across the UK office and they are now looking to roll this system out across other International offices and is being managed by a UK IT project team.

As part of the roll out process there is a requirement to move existing documents into the new eShare system.

As the dedicated Data Migration Support Analyst you will provide assistance to the Project Manager and Customer support teams to facilitate this task

Main responsibilities include:

  • Establish relationships with the internal IT teams and the Legal firms customer base.
  • Provide a liaison point between the stakeholders, local IT Support in the International offices and the UK Project team to ensure that the needs and expectations are met by both sides.
  • Facilitate the data migration from local file shares to the firm's document management system.
  • Provide daily and weekly progress update reports on the data migrations and any issues encountered.
  • Ensure that all issues are communicated to affected support team members and proactively communicate risks to the Project Manager and Database Services team.
  • Review call escalation processes and work-flows, ensuring that all service requests are logged, updated and resolved to meet the requirements of the business.
  • Deal with any customer feedback or complaints relating to the migration work in a timely manner, ensuring that appropriate changes are implemented to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Present data in a clear, concise format by using the appropriate Excel functionality.
  • Ability to cross check data to identify potential issues which may cause the migration tool to fail.

Adhere to policies and procedures that align with ITILv3 best practice, and be expected to follow the defined working practices and processes to ensure the seamless processing of data.

The Successful Applicant

Proven service transition experience particularly in an ITIL based support environment.

Track record of strong business customer and key stakeholder management.

Good knowledge of Excel functionality

Good knowledge of IT Services in a legal or professional environment.

Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to analyse and rationalise data

Ability to update information, apply formulas and filters to excel spread sheets

Organised with ability to prioritise workload when required

Ability to work under own initiative, and to work under pressure, with flexibility to complete work and meet deadlines

Good understanding of network mappings and accessing file shares and permissions to allow access

Ability to follow design and implement a process

Previous experience of IT migration work is an advantage
