About Our Client

Our client has data privacy, security and cybercrime practitioners across the globe advising on compliance and best practices for data management and incident preparedness.

Job Description

You will work on a range of Data Protection matters and Cyber Security issues for a client list that is truly global:

You will routinely advise on:

  • The collection and use of employee and consumer personal data, including export of personal data to countries outside the EEA
  • Cybercrime and data breach insurance policies and claims
  • Cybercrime incident preparedness, response, breach notifications, and related internal and external investigations
  • Data sharing, including exploitation of big data
  • Direct marketing activities
  • Disclosure of data to law enforcement authorities
  • International data protection compliance programs and audits and responses to government compliance reviews
  • Payment card association, post-breach penalties and audits
  • Privacy policies, documentation and procedures as well as privacy impact assessments

The Successful Applicant

Our client is looking for a lawyer with at least 2 years experience as a Data Protection Lawyer and up to 5 years experience to join them in the London offices.

You must be able to demonstrate experience of dealing with the full range of Data Protection issues as detailed above and experience working for a well regarded practice with a reputation for working on Data Protection issues.
