Job Description

  • Aggregate the demand forecasts from the different commercial areas and work with supply chain to ensure orders are placed and fulfilled.
  • Understand the various sales channels/customers/tender systems.
  • Act as the link between supply chain, customer service, logistics and commercial functions to ensure the efficient flow of information and understanding across the groups to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Review, challenge and amend after discussion any unusual forecast entries, along with market share assessments. Measure forecast accuracy & drive forecast compliance, provide reason codes for missing forecasts & out of stocks due to overselling. Follow the forecasting rules.
  • Demand Management of opportunistic business.
  • Excellent communication with customers / customer service team on estimated date of release/availability for sale for next supplies & quarantine stock.
  • Ensure stock rotation within the various plants to ensure effective management of tender outcomes (wins or losses), stock levels are reduced when tenders are coming to end or have been lost and that any ring-fenced stock has been adjusted accordingly
  • On a monthly basis run a short dated/risk of obsolescence report and discuss with commercial team on action to be taken. Measure outcome of the actions.
  • Move stock between divisions to best serve the needs of the business.
  • Work closely with the head of European Demand Managers.
  • Work with Commercial and supply chain to continuously improve the forecasting and demand planning process.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Your track record should show a strong understanding of demand planning, preferably gained in a similar pharmaceutical company in Europe.
  • Must have excellent Microsoft Excel and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of supply chain models and planning
  • Must be able to deal with high levels of complexity
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and have excellent communication skills
  • Should be flexible and able to adapt to new processes

You must be able to communicate fluently in both written and spoken English.
