Job Description

Demand & Supply Planner

  • Plan inventory to maintain target stock cover. Deliver customer service targets whilst minimising excess stock exposure and airfreight.
  • Utilise best practice activities to align supply plans against evolving business needs, Identify excess stock and drive plans to liquidation.
  • Communicating proactively to Sales, Product Management, Finance, and other teams on significant changes in forecasted demand, potential stock shortages and excess stock to ensure appropriate actions are taken to maintain business performance.
  • Participating fully in the EMEA S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process owning the planning side for your responsible business
  • Identifying opportunities to improve KPI performance, implement improvement plans and track results.
  • Providing a BU / Market based forecast to drive the business planning to ensure delivery of sales plans, customer services, cost and inventory.
  • Building the sales forecast through the utilization of the planning tool. To build an accurate base forecast, and collaboration with sales and product management to add incremental promotional and new product introduction forecasts.
  • Using all available intelligence from the market place (i.e. customer data) to analyse and recommend actions where forecast and inventories are out of balance
  • Contributing to improving the EMEA Supply Chain process and systems by identifying improvement opopportunity's working with colleagues to deliver improvements.
  • "Go the extra mile" to ensure that customer service is maintained.

The Successful Applicant

  • 3+ years of experience within Demand & Supply Planner roles.
  • Educated to a Degree standard / Member of a professional institute desirable.
  • Experience within the fast moving consumer goods market.
  • You have a good understanding of planning techniques, processes and systems within a European business.
  • You need to be excellent in prioritising, time management and have organisational skills.
  • You are assertive with excellent influencing skills - and have in particular experience in developing effective relationships with sales and product management teams
  • You are excellent with numerical analysis and are a proficient user in spreadsheet skills.
  • You will have a solid understanding of Supply Chain processes and systems within a European business. FMCG Experience or experience of sourcing from Far East vendors would be advantageous.
  • We require someone with strong experience of a dynamic, high sku count consumer business, who has a proactive and "hands-on" style with excellent communication skills.
