About Our Client

Our client is leading construction company which has established development partnership programs with various local councils to drive the successful delivery of their property portfolio.

Our client is looking for an experienced professional who has a track record in being able to identify development opportunities within the existing assets which will vary depending on the specific portfolio. They are expecting to find Development Manager who have previously worked on residential, commercial, education and public projects.

Job Description

To be a key member of the business unit's delivery team who will be expected to assist in the procurement and delivery of development opportunities with significant levels of return.

To identify property development opportunities and assist in running and directing bid teams. To analyse viability of projects from market and financial viewpoint. To assist in managing individual development projects including instructing, monitoring and controlling multidiscipline professional consultants. With Development Directors establish and monitor financial targets for each of the projects. Achieve project management, leasing and investment objectives as agreed.

The Strategic Asset Management team provides a wide range of property-related advice and services to our local authority and public sector clients to deliver comprehensive regeneration through development of their land and property assets The Development Manager will use his/her knowledge and skills to manage and challenge a team drawn from in-house expertise and partner organisations to develop and programme-manage innovative solutions to deliver mutual benefits to our clients and Carillon.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • an understanding of property development processes and capital projects delivery from inception and feasibility through to delivery and completion;
  • an ability to generate development appraisals;
  • an understanding of the commercial drivers operating across different market sectors including residential development, commercial, retail and industrial developments;
  • an ability to commission and manage the inputs necessary to contribute to feasibility studies and options appraisals;
  • ideally MRI CS though we will also consider MCI OB, ICE, etc.
