Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on the university's scholarship programme
  • Work alongside the rest of the team stewarding donors
  • Keep the organisation's database up to date with details of donors and prospects to ensure that it is always accurate
  • Be a point of contact for students with regards to the scholarship programme
  • Draft appropriate letters to donors and students communicating the outcome of the scholarship programme
  • Process a small amount of financial admin for the programme
  • Utilise the donor database to ensure that prospects are approached in the correct manner
  • Produce accurate reports from the database which may involve wealth screening
  • Take part in any events as required by the Head of department
  • Take an active role in organising all logistics and communications around the university's events
  • Work with external agencies and suppliers

The Successful Applicant

Person Specification:

  • Educated to degree level
  • Experience of monitoring and managing budgets
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Society
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of using a fundraising database
  • Ability to work with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience of working on and supporting events
  • Ability to liaise with donors and build relationships effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexibly and manage a varied workload
  • Experience of working in either a fundraising or development department

What's on Offer

This organisation is looking to offer a salary of between £25,000 and £30,000 pro rata, depending on experience.
