About Our Client

The client are a global travel insurance business who are looking for a Digital Channel Manager to look after their UK and EMEA strategy. The role will be based in their offices which are based east of London but you will be able to work from home most of the time.

Job Description

Key responsibilities of Digital Channel Manager

  • Design deliver and manage a 12 month strategic online customer marketing program to improve brand awareness, customer satisfaction, ROI and online sales
  • Analyse and Report on campaigns and make recommendations to improve
  • Engage internal/external service providers to deliver on strategic initiatives
  • Manage online marketing initiatives e.g. cart abandonment, affiliate marketing etc.
  • Manage online sales communications, including EDM's and automated emails
  • Ensure Social Media is integrated into all marketing/sales activities
  • Learn and understand emerging trends and technologies and to communicate this knowledge clearly and concisely
  • Analyse website traffic and sales data for trends to identify and quantify customer habits and behaviour using this data to improve online sales
  • Make recommendations to improve conversion and increase sales
  • Translate customer needs into effective, valuable solutions and opportunities
  • Apply focus to emerging platforms including mobile and tablet, to ensure robust coverage and highest possible conversions
  • Conduct market and competitor research
  • Adhoc/weekly/monthly reporting.
  • Work with local agencies and the Manager of Content and Media to support the content strategy
  • Analyse and report on-site performance and make recommendations to optimise content
  • A/B testing via VWO, Optimizely or similar
  • Develop website scopes and project scopes
  • Assist with the development of online content
  • Develop new products, including ancillary products
  • Work with the price team to ensure products are priced appropriately
  • Project Management for direct UK website - impulse, CMS and asset updates, including enhancements to the business
  • Seek new partnerships and drive increase sales through improvements to the affiliate network

The Successful Applicant

Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully implementing and managing growth strategies to increase sales generation and conversion through the use of eCommerce and client management initiatives as well as:

  • A solid understanding of the digital landscape with a minimum of 3-5 years previous commercial experience in Online Optimisation, Account Management and eCommerce
  • Proven results in online growth initiatives
  • Ensure cost effectiveness and profitability of all projects

A solid understanding of the digital landscape and online methodologies with proven online growth success

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations to improve sales, user experience and brand awareness
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to instantly connect with people and manage ongoing relationships for positive outcomes
  • Ability to define problems, collect and analyse information and make decisions, coupled with the ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions.
  • Excellent planning, delegation and communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting processes
  • MS Office Skills - word, excel, Content management Systems, html and Google Analytics.
