The client is a public sector organisation based in West Yorkshire.

Job Description

    • Process complex and sensitive information - turning it into excellent quality accessible digital content for a variety of audiences
    • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders such as the organisations in house IT department and external digital communications/technical support suppliers
    • Work with a range of staff to enable them to create good quality content, collaborate with each other and market their services internally and externally
    • Work with service users, carers and external stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and that content and systems are accessible
    • Support the communications team to ensure all team members are competent on a range of digital communications channels and techniques to act as digital champions
    • Provide cover and support to the communications team where required e.g. participating in the duty communications officer rota; managing routine communications channels and outputs on rotation with other colleagues
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and be confident when presenting themselves and their ideas to a wide range of people.

The Successful Applicant

  • Educated to degree level with a postgraduate diploma-level qualification (e.g. CIM, CIPR), evidence of vocational training or the equivalent experience in digital communications or marketing

  • Significant professional experience in a relevant area i.e. digital marketing, public relations, marketing
  • Good technical knowledge of HTML, content management systems, CSS, SEO, web analytics, Google Adwords and e-marketing software
  • Knowledge and experience of producing high quality and accessible information for the public; including excellent knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practice techniques

  • Knowledge of research, evaluation and measurement techniques e.g. user experience insight, analytics

  • Experience of providing a digital communications service OR delivering a significant digital communications project either in house, via freelance or via an agency

What's on Offer

£26000-£34000 depending on experience with generous pension contribution and holiday allowance.
