Job Description

  • Planning, co-ordination and tracking of activities to deliver items within the Digital Change plan from idea to delivery and close down.
  • Tracking project spend to ensure it remains within the Digital Change Plan budget
  • Manage required project governance, including project plans, RAID and meetings
  • Stakeholder management at all levels
  • Managing virtual teams and external suppliers
  • Ensure that programmes and projects are relevant, viable and deliver the business and customer benefits required and that demand is balanced against current and future capability
  • Management of the 'go to market' plan for digital projects, ensuring projects are high quality and stakeholders are ready for the change having received appropriate communications, training and support and ensuring projects are sustainable in BAU.
  • Developing and leveraging strong and effective relationships in Commercial and the wider business including IS, BGB Digital team, BGB marketing, Customer Care, BGR, Propositions, Data, Channel heads and legal/compliance to develop, optimise and execute delivery plans.
  • Manage operational, technical, reputational and regulatory risks within the Digital Change Plan; recording these and escalating as appropriate.

The Successful Applicant

  • Graduate calibre
  • Demonstrated experience in a successful digital project delivery role.
  • Project management qualified e.g. Prince 2, Six Sigma, Agile. Experience of managing delivery in an agile environment is desired.
  • Demonstrable experience in project management, governance and assurance - delivery of full life cycle projects from scoping through to benefits realisation
  • Strong proactive stakeholder management and adaptive communication skills to engage, influence, negotiate and constructively challenge internal and external stakeholders.
  • A digital expert who can quickly establish credibility.
  • Working knowledge of BGB SAP and supporting architecture would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work across a complex matrix organisation.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft products including Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Ability to prioritise and plan own workload; and to manage conflicting demands and priorities, delivery work on time to high standards.
  • Strong focus on attention to detail
