Job Description

Key Accountabilities

  • Build, lead and develop a digital marketing Centre of Excellence for the Society
  • Develop and deliver the digital marketing strategy to achieve target sales and conversion levels within agreed budgets
  • Work collaboratively with the broader marketing team and other channel owners to deliver compelling integrated brand, acquisition and retention campaigns
  • Maintain digital assets ensuring they consistently meet regulatory requirements, and reflect accurate product and proposition details at all times.
  • Continuously improve the Society's social media strategy and framework. Social media monitoring. Lead and support the internal network of social media champions.
  • Creation of new digital assets/content that support Society strategic objectives
  • Act as the Society's digital champion
  • Engage with key stakeholders and leaders to obtain support and socialise/execute plans and projects
  • Commission and evaluate customer research, market conditions and competitor data ensuring continuous improvement of the digital marketing strategy
  • Define and deliver effective MI on which to determine digital marketing performance
  • Management of content management system
  • Management of 3rd party web services supporting digital
  • Review new technologies and keep the Society at the forefront of developments in digital marketing

The Successful Applicant

Essential skills required

  • Minimum of 5yrs proven experience of creating and executing digital marketing strategy across all digital channels. Including but not limited to: search optimisation, PPC and affiliate marketing, email marketing, content development etc
  • Experience of delivering digital projects on time and on scope
  • Experience in executing testing - multivariate or A/B
  • Commercial focus and strong analytical skills
  • Communication and presentation skills, persuasively presenting innovative and compelling concepts to stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of digital technology, media, tools, trends and adoption rates
  • Strong track record in developing high performing and engaged teams

Desirable skills

  • Experience of working within a financial services or regulated environment
  • Bachelor degree in marketing and/or CIM qualification
