Job Description

To manage and implement marketing campaigns to achieve new business sales volume and APE (Annual Premium Equivalent) targets within Cost per Sale and Cost Income Ratio targets:

To be responsible for managing and developing the above the line, mass market channels

Manage payment of invoices, raising POs and budget tracking to enable weekly cost analysis. Ensure all campaigns and literature are delivered within given annual budgets.

To work effectively with the wider marketing team and the Direct team, including the support areas (Customer Value & Insight, Digital, Call Centre, Brand) Advertising & Media agencies, Product areas, Print suppliers, Advertising Standards and Compliance to deliver campaigns. Deputising for Marketing Manager as required.

Manage and assimilate analysis of campaign activity, research, forecasts and other inputs. Adjust plans where necessary in the light of any competitive opportunities or analysis findings.

To ensure that all marketing activities are carried out efficiently and cost-effectively, including developing appropriate campaign management disciplines, budgetary control, agency management and relevant compliance and brand sign-off.

To maintain knowledge and a clear understanding of the financial services market place and communicate any identified opportunities or threats, as relevant. Scan the competitive environment regularly to ensure awareness is maintained.

The Successful Applicant

  • Ability to manage and deliver campaigns across multiple channels
  • Experience of different forms of Campaign media - such as online channels, press, TV, Radio and Direct Mail
  • Ability to develop innovative yet functional solutions to campaign development.
  • An ability to work independently using own initiative to establish facts, consider the options and communicate solutions in keeping with business objectives.
  • To be a team player and take an active part in delivering the overall team objectives. Consider others and being aware of the effect of own behaviour on other.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and confidently with internal colleagues and external business clients. To cover written, oral and presentation skills but at all times clear, concise, accurate and timely. Ability to influence and persuade particularly in relation to approvals.
  • A keen attention to detail, checking work or supporting data for errors or omissions
