Job Description

Reporting to the VP of Marketing Services, the Director of Consumer Relations will lead the critical interface between consumers and the organisation for all safety, medical and general consumer product or availability inquiries. The successful candidate will take the lead in shaping the consumer relations division to create and deliver a globally consistent and responsive consumer experience to enhance the reputation and recognition of the brand portfolio.

They will also work to firstly ensure consumer safety and regulatory compliance is at the forefront of all activities. Secondly, the role will proactively manage and protect the organisational and brand reputation and assist in handling threats or issues that could impact on this. Finally, the Director of Consumer Relations will lead, manage and evolve a global Consumer Relations team to create and emotional connection with consumers and ultimately drive consumer emotional connection for the organisations brands.

As the Director of Consumer Relations you will also shape, deliver and drive an end-to-end and fully integrated approach to consumer relations. This will be through creating a more proactive approach to consumer relations away from a traditional consumer complaint handling to deliver a world-class consumer insights and communications to consumers across all channels - websites, social media, phone and email. Critically there is a need to increase the performance on digital/online consumer relations.

The Successful Applicant

You will have a successful track record of enhancing consumer relations gained from the healthcare or equally regulated environment. You will be comfortable with working in large, complex and multi-national organisations and have developed excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.

You will be passionate about winning, have a continuous improvement mind-set and be driving to be better than the competition in a consumer centric manner. As a strong team player, you will be highly adept at working in a cross-functional and collaborative style in an open, transparent and honest style. You will have high emotional intelligence to work with colleagues and 3rd party providers in a number of countries and cultures. You will find it enjoyable to work in a fast moving, dynamic and changing environment and be able to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
