About Our Client

A market-leader in their field, this organisation is a successful and growing company with a strong brand amongst consumers and a positive culture adopted by every member of their staff. They are looking for a Director of Facilities to provide strategic leadership to the UK portfolio in regards to all aspects of Facilities Management.

Job Description

Your role will be to provide strategic leadership to the existing Facilities Management team in regards to delivery of all maintenance and minor works projects across the portfolio.

This will include but not be limited to:

  • Managing Maintenance of entire portfolio consisting of 70,000 sq ft across the UK and including HQ based in Berkshire
  • Managing all energy consumption and advising Board on where to drive efficiencies and investment
  • Continually develop innovative ways to improve efficiencies and ensure best value for money across all FM service lines
  • Review and monitor the service level agreements with the senior management team, for all facility and operational services including health and safety, cleaning, catering and security
  • Overseeing in house and outsourced resources in order to deliver an effective preventative maintenance programme and an effective response to the reactive needs of the users of the buildings
  • Working with colleagues in Procurement to review all current supplier contracts and commercial terms and conditions to ensure they are cost effective and delivering to meet the requirements
  • Undertake and implement regular expenditure reviews to ensure the cost effectiveness for services and equipment and wastage is minimised
  • Ensure all Company Policies / Procedures and all relevant statutory requirements are consistently complied with at all times
  • Ensure the Group meets all required Health & Safety standards and carries out relevant checks and inspections as required inspections as required

The Successful Applicant

You must have experience in a similar senior Head of FM or Director's role, ideally for a Retail company, or at least within a fast-paced organisation with a strong brand and culture. You will need to have strong influencing and negotiation skills as well as a proven track record in getting the most out of your teams and championing individual ownership. You must be able to demonstrate a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
