Job Description

The main responsibilities for the Divisional Financial Controller will be: -

- Provide accurate and timely financial information to support finance and management teams

- To produce periodic financial and operational reports illustrating performance against latest financial forecast for the Division (using the ERP system), including profit and loss, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow statement and presentation of summary information pack to local management

- To maintain and improve business models to support latest forecasts, annual Budgets and long term strategic planning

- To develop and monitor relevant actual and forecast variance analysis including event profitability analysis on a timely basis

- Assist the management team to optimise performance, cost control and drive profitability

- To maintain good supplier relationships and manage in line with operational cashflow

- To review and monitor WIP values at project and event level, whilst ensuring accurate and timely issue of sales invoices

As Divisional Financial Controller you will also be expected to: -

- Prepare month-end reporting and quarterly re-forecasting

- Review income and expenditure each month and maintain integrity of balance sheet control reconciliations

- Prepare weekly cash flow statements and cash flow forecasts including management of creditor payments

- Process month-end journals

- Support the AP/AR team

The Successful Applicant

As Divisional Financial Controller we are ideally looking for: -

- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel to a high level and ability or experience of using a fully integrated accounting system is essential.

- Commercial awareness and a proven record of cost control

- Ability to create financial and non financial reports for operational and executive use

- Self-starter able to work to specific deadlines and deliverables

- Excellent team player with flexible approach to different tasks and changing requirements

- Qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA accounting qualification

- Can-do approach with a positive attitude to deliver alternative solutions

- Is creative and willing to drive change in order to discover new ways of operating
