My client based in the heart of West Yorkshire are a cutting edge online retailer. They operate across a number of categories for the home and are currently on track to triple their turnover in the next two years.

Job Description

  • Assist Buying and Merchandising Director in Weekly reporting on sales, stock, cover to drive analysis, reviewing fastest and slowest web lines to ensure reorder points/replenishment calculations are correct.
  • Assist in on going and monthly review of slow moving lines to balance stock, maximising space and pick locations, minimising warehousing costs
  • Close liason with B&M teams and suppliers to ensure healthy stock pipeline, minimising overstocks.
  • Monitoring of service, PO shortages, manifest failures, and OOS
  • Work with ops to manage bulletin issues which will impact the website service, resolving them quickly and efficiently, minimising availability issues.
  • Assist in forecasting uplift and managing stock build for key seasonal campaigns.
  • Action RO increases and manual allocations as per the stock build plan agreed with merchandising and ops
  • Work with ops and suppliers to plan intake and maximise availability on these lines
  • Provide web sales analysis to support the weekly trade and cross channel meeting
  • Provide analytical support to help the B&M teams put together web exclusive ranges
  • Provide analysis and minimise back orders, working closely with the call centre team to resolve these. Expedite any special customer orders.
  • Monitor and work with ops and IT to resolve any systems issues
  • Be the link between the Web Team and the B&M Teams
  • Make sure web queries are dealt with promptly and accurately
  • Build the relationship between web trading and B&M, getting closer to the detail of my categories to support with the successful trading of the categories.
  • Be responsible for developing an effective stock strategy for my categories, focusing on seasonal trends to ensure we have the right stock at the right levels throughout the year
  • Effectively manage seasonal changes ie. Bringing stock levels down on summer product to make space for winter product - being careful not to miss any sales on either products during the switchover
  • Visual merchandising of the website in conjunction with the website administration team

The Successful Applicant

At least 2 years experience in Merchandising in retail and will have some understanding of production planning. Ideally the right candidate will also have some experience of web based selling and will probably have some experience of working with UK & international suppliers
