Job Description

  • Delivery of a cohesive Product Strategy, identifying commercial and seasonal opportunities, whilst maintaining a strong brand representation online
  • Demonstrates views on current key trade activity that potentially impacts the customer and brands
  • Using data analysis to identify and prioritise major sales drivers and highlight deficiencies such as availability and sizing issues
  • Product - reporting and planning Brand and category performance, help shape range with Brand teams through SWOT and EOS analysis
  • Ensure product is on the site, in the right place in a timely manner
  • Price management - set up and management of online promotions, price adjustments and sale execution, good / better / best etc
  • Stock Availability - work with the Brand and Branch Merchandising teams to ensure stock to support product plan and customer demand



Planogram

  • Managing Site Navigation by defining and setting site merchandising strategy, in conjunction with the Head of E-Commerce
  • Content Plan to support trading (homepages, social and email product selection)
  • Product - reporting and planning Brand and category performance,
  • Brand and product Performance and Analysis, including ability to forecast and analyse both E-Commerce Sales and E-Commerce Metrics Trends to make informative and commercial decisions on budgets, forecasts and customer experience
  • Work with Head of E-Commerce Merchandising and Content on top level strategy



Planning

  • Sales Budget Control and reforecasting
  • Seasonal Planning/Product Planning/Onsite Navigation



People

  • People and Talent Management
  • Acts in pivotal role for teams and internal functions to co-ordinate projects and provide two-way communication.
  • Builds and maintains a strong and varied network of contacts especially within Core Merchandising & Buying teams

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong commercial track record within a leading e-commerce retailer
  • Strong core online trading skills
  • High levels of numeracy and commercial drive
  • Excellent data analysis and act on insight to drive through actions and recommendations
  • Technical E-Commerce platform experience
  • Strong communication and influencing skills A well recognised UK retail brand is seeking to recruit an Online Trading Manager to optimise sales through the online channel.
