Job Description

They will work with our partnerships team to source supporting inventory. This will require establishment of new processes, measurement and reaction to success criteria and the ability to think strategically and act tactically. This role is at the fulcrum of the business, managing all our travel categories, ensuring their appeal to our core audiences and specifying necessary inventory.

Key job responsibilities

  • Understanding customer base and how to market to specific target audiences through offline and online channels.
  • Work with marketing team to attract requisite travel buyers.
  • Specifying the right inventory for audiences including identifying any inventory gaps and recommending how to fill them.
  • Analyse site traffic and click through rate to partner sites and continually suggest ways to improve.
  • Specify necessary data inputs and format for performance dashboard.
  • Work to improve recency and accuracy of revenue data.
  • Compile and distribute weekly reporting and commentary on revenue data.
  • Managing revenue and costs for key segments.
  • Devising team targets and KPIs to meet revenue expectations.
  • Ensuring that the click through rate and conversions will support business ambitions.
  • Refreshing inventory on a regular basis in recognition of customer trends and expectations.
  • Managing and motivating a team of four to excel in their sectors and grow in stature and responsibility.
  • Providing a clear and inspirational strategy to turn a successful reader offers category into an innovative ecommerce business.

The Successful Applicant

Specific requirements / skills

  • Analytical ability with proven experience of understanding and communicating website customer data and click patterns.
  • Demonstrable experience of running and growing a budget line or small business.
  • Online trading management experience.
  • Management of multiple product categories to achieve targets.
  • Attention to detail and a track record of executing continuous improvement without management. oversight
  • Experience of specifying testing, reporting on results and taking action where appropriate.
  • Ability to set criteria for partnerships.
  • Understanding of brand management and how to grow a consumer brand.
  • Entrepreneurial mind set.
  • Confidence working with people at all levels as the role involves regular communication both internally and externally on strategic and tactical initiatives.
  • Good written and spoken English for proposals, email, presentations .
  • Knowledge of Excel and web analytic tools, eg, Omniture, Google Analytics etc.
