Job Description

Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Manager the Electrical Project Engineer will assist in the delivery of the capital delivery programme and will be required to project manage small and medium multi-disciplinary engineering projects that have a bias of both EC&I and mechanical work. This will include all aspects of optioneering, design, compiling and collating contract documents, project and contract management, liaison with all interested parties (both internal and external), supervision of works, commissioning, financial management, project reporting and the compilation and collation of a final handover to other departments of all records pertaining to the project.

The Electrical Project Engineer will be required to work closely with suppliers, contractors and consultants to ensure delivery of the best value solution for the Company/

The successful applicant will provide EC&I and mechanical support to the Engineering department on all capital schemes to ensure the needs of Operations are fully represented and considered. This will include being the lead on commissioning and handover, training and records for all work undertaken under the capital delivery programme.

The Successful Applicant

This role will suit a candidate who after establishing his / her career as an electrical design engineer on capital projects is now looking to move into an Electrical Project Engineer / project manager role.

The successful applicant will match the following criteria;

  • An electrical engineering degree;
  • Extensive previous experience of working on electrical projects;
  • Experience in AutoCAD and the production of electrical drawings;
  • Experience of working to electrical and wiring specifications,
  • Knowledge of EC&I works relevant to the water industry;
  • Some knowledge of civil, building and mechanical works would be considered an advantage;

What's on Offer

These positions are permanent working full time between Monday and Friday. The remuneration package offered for each of these positions will be dependent on experience and will include a defined contributions pension scheme and enhanced annual leave.
