Job Description

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Centrally managing the eCRM programme for Editorial, including, creating, developing, reporting on and managing the day to day delivery of email marketing campaigns across a number of sectors. Predominantly focused on email, but also working on mobile, app and online.
  • Focus on driving return-on-investment, increasing engagement and reducing churn.
  • Working alongside the Editor for each team to execute content plans.
  • Develop and implement a clear strategy for growing the database and segmenting the audience using behavioural traits and the customer engagement index
  • Develop and implement a strategy to re-energise the database using customer behaviour, modelling and the customer engagement index.
  • Develop a robust testing strategy for retention, cross sell and upsell.
  • Seek out and drive new initiatives, creating an industry-leading programme.
  • Work with the Design team to create on-brand, mobile responsive email templates, utilising best practice techniques.
  • Work with the wider Data team to query the single customer view to generate insight and highlight opportunities
  • Provide in-depth reporting on a regular basis to all key stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

Specific Requirements/Skills

  • Accomplished eCRM manager with significant experience
  • Strong proven track record in managing simultaneous email marketing campaigns for sizeable online businesses and driving campaign success through data.
  • A passion for driving insight through data, good analytical skills and always looking for improvement.
  • Operational reporting & analysis experience.
  • Good knowledge of HTML.
  • Experience of working with multiple ESP platforms.
  • Experience working with a large consumer database.
  • Experience of customer profiling and segmentation
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
  • Knowledge of managing and domain and IP reputations.
  • Good eye for detail.

knowledge and experience of the publishing industry is an advantage
