Job Description

The Export Sales Manager will live in commuting distance of London, using the Allgood Plc office in Holborn as their resource base.

The candidate will work closely with Allgood Plc's Export Sales Director to develop a strategic business plan, which is both ambitious and achievable.

An existing pipeline will be inherited and it will be the Export Sales Manager's responsibility to build strong relationships with Allgood's customer base to maximise pipeline conversion whilst proactively generating new project pipeline.

This will be a challenging role in a dynamic environment where an entrepreneurial individual will have the chance to thrive.

The Successful Applicant

The Export Sales Manager should be GAI (Guild of Architectural Ironmongery) qualified or have equivalent experience. Technical know-how in this role is imperative.

Experience of specification sales is essential. The candidate should be capable when qualifying projects, with a detailed knowledge of the project life-cycle in addition to a strong track record of growing and managing a project pipeline.

Export sales experience would be advantageous. However Allgood are more concerned with securing the best talent for the business and will invest in training to ensure the Export Sales Manager has all the tools necessary.

The Export Sales Manager role will suit an individual with a naturally inquisitive mind - someone who enjoys asking questions, actively listens and is genuinely interested in learning.

Cultural sensitivity: Open-mindedness is critical to success in this role. You will be working with customers from all over the world. An interest in local customs, traditions and ways of working will be required.

Time in the Export Sales Manager role will be split between London (specifying projects) and abroad (managing Contractors and Project Stakeholders). You must be comfortable with long-distance travel and spending time away from the UK.
