Job Description


This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful sales team of a market leading manufacturer of large capital industrial equipment to the food industry.

With guidance from the Sales Director, the EMEA Sales Manager will be responsible for developing sales growth covering parts of Europe, Middle East and Africa. The role will involve a combination of supporting existing customers with new system applications and developing new opportunities with businesses primarily operating in the target market of Food and Beverage production.

This work will include web research, contacting via email, telephone and networking. Once contact is established, take part in customer site visits, help co-ordination demonstrations / trials at company's or customer sites etc.

The EMEA Sales Manager will be required to travel regularly within the region, as well as occasional international travel to support other business activities (training, exhibitions, customer visits etc…).

This role is a key focus for the business; he/she will be representing company in EMEA, responsible for Business Development: Identify industry, consumer and competitive trends and make recommendations for action plans and programs.

You will be working collaboratively with the marketing/business development team in the UK on the input and execution of marketing plans. This will include planning and execution of exhibitions and seminars in EMEA.

You will also be responsible for Agent Management: managing existing agents and appointing new agents where appropriate across EMEA. Communicate regularly with agents to agree approach to effectively develop opportunities.

The Successful Applicant


  • Minimum of five years of experience selling large capital industrial equipment to the food industry. Strong preference is for that experience to be in the material handling, material processing, packaging, conveyance and/or containment equipment manufacturers, agents/distributors or engineering firm interacting with those technologies.
  • Demonstration of significant sales to Senior/Executive level decision makers in the food industry,.
  • Minimum of ten years total related industrial experience in a variety of functions.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building capability
  • Valid driving licence for car and flexibility and capability to travel worldwide.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office suite and capability to utilise other IT tools such as CRM.
  • Foreign language (German) is a plus
