Our client has a competent Estates and Facilities team in place, but have recently made some changes in the way they deliver their service, which has brought around this vacancy

Job Description

The Facilities Manager has responsibility for reactive and planned maintenance across their property portfolio. Reporting to the Estates Manager, the Facilities Manager includes responsibility for the performance management of contractors and ensuring compliance with property related legislation.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Preparing annual and long term budgets for the region
  • Oversee budgetary control
  • Manage contractor performance & quality of work, carrying out regular reviews
  • Ensure contractors provide value for money, price checking where appropriate
  • Develop clear specifications for planned maintenance
  • Ensure statutory compliance across the Estate and manage contractor performance.
  • Awareness of and close liaison with contractors and Health and Safety advisors regarding legislation and ensure that recommendations are successfully implemented.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will hold:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience within a Facilities / Maintenance Management role
  • Previous multi-site experience essential
  • A minimum of 5 year experience working in an FM capacity in the retail sector - ideally Food and Beverage
  • Ability to demonstrate previous relevant experience
  • Competent knowledge of all Hard services
  • Relevant qualifications in a Hard Services/Building capacity.

What's on Offer

£50,000 salary plus 15% bonus based on company performance. (Fully expensed company car, dependant on patch covered).
