Job Description

This role will report to the Group Financial Controller. Working with the finance team (a lean high performance Group function), you will lead the valuation process and drive improvements to the process where possible. Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Lead the interim internal valuation exercise.
  • Co-ordinate and act as the main point of contact for the annual external valuation.
  • Champion the annual budget process and periodic re-forecasts
  • Work with the Origination & Execution ('O&E') and Asset Management teams ensuring project models incorporate the latest model inputs and assumptions.
  • Responsible for updates to the Corporate model
  • Provide regular and adhoc management information and business support information as required.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects around the group to drive improvements.
  • Build partnerships and solicit feedback from internal and external business partners to define and develop successful valuation processes
  • Maximize the effectiveness of technologies and supporting processes to drive continuous improvement and change initiatives

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidates will be ACA qualified with a strong foundation and excellent working knowledge of advanced investments analysis, multi-discipline valuation methodologies and demonstrated ability to applying them across the group. Furthermore the successful candidate will possess some or all of the following skills and experiences:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to challenge or support valuation assumptions and conclusions;
  • Advised or worked in the energy industry, ideally with exposure to renewables;
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, unstructured and fluid environment; able to take a pro-active approach and function autonomously with limited oversight;
  • A proven ability to organize multiple priorities, work well under pressure to meet various deadlines, and to quickly identify the mission critical items;
  • A proven ability to build collaborative relationships both internally and externally;
  • Good communication and presentation skills. An open and candid communication style best fits the Company's culture and values;
