About Our Client

My client is an instantly recognisable Luxury Retail Brand based in the City of London. They are part of an international retail group with an historic record of high performance and success. The brand is a £250m T/O business with a smaller "affordable retail" branch currently operating at £30m turnover. With an ambitious 5 year growth plan including new store openings and diversifying their product lines, they are looking to bring in a qualified accountant as a finance manager.

Job Description

As the finance manager for the affordable retail brand you will be responsible for the end-to-end accounting for the division with a primary responsibility to partner with senior management across the business on budget and forecast control. Your key responsibilities will include the following:

-Communicate budget and forecast information to relevant company entities ensuring group timeframes are met

-Business partnering with various departments across the business to establish budgets and forecast

-Produce monthly reporting pack for the brand, Store P&L, Balance sheet and review each entity requesting changes whenever necessary

-Analyse and comment on variances to budgets/forecast

-Work with the consolidations accountant to produce consolidated reporting pack

-Control and maintain the monitoring spreadsheets (cost per season / event / product category & reconciliation with reporting packages)

-Management of AP (including supplier payments and agreements) and petty cash/expenses

The Successful Applicant

As a strong candidate for the finance manager role you will be a qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with a strong commercial awareness; ideally from a retail environment. You will demonstrate exposure to the budget and forecasting process and the ability to co-ordinate a month end process. You will also have a track record of engaging with senior management and being able to handle delicate relationships with stakeholders.

What's on Offer

The offer to the successful candidate will be between £45,000-£50,000 depending on experience + benefits including bonus and clothing allowance. You will also receive training and development in a supportive environment which promotes progression.
