About Our Client

In a rapidly changing funding environment H4All CIC has been established as a collaborative joint venture between 5 local charities: Age UK Hillingdon, Harlington Hospice; Hillingdon Mind; Hillingdon Carers; and DASH. The joint venture provides a vehicle to collaborate service delivery and a vehicle to tender for contracts and to develop high quality and efficient back office services. H4All requires a qualified finance professional to form the core of the financial shared services business.

Job Description

This is a pivotal role for the organisation, reporting into the Business Development manager and CIC Member boards. You will be a professional finance business partner to the CEO of each member and partner organisation to understand their individual needs, and develop financial shared services as required.

Key duties will include:

  • Work closely with Member organisation leadership teams to embed financial systems and processes that provide the platform for a sustainable financial shared service
  • Delivery of a financial shared service, including production of management accounts, statutory accounts, and provision of efficient financial processing.
  • Support the design and delivery of the business plan ensuring it is financially robust
  • Lead on the planning, management and delivery of all accounting functions for H4All including budgetary control, cash flow management, forecasting, production of financial statements and liaison with external auditors
  • Identify opportunities to expand the shared service across the voluntary sector and to other agencies

The Successful Applicant

You must be an ACA, ACCA, CIMA or other equivalent qualified accountant with a proactive and enthusiastic approach to developing commercial services within the not for profit sector. It is essential that the successful candidate has the ability to develop financial systems and processes, along with advanced excel skills and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have accountancy experience in a group, shared services or entity-accounting capacity within any industry. Experience with managing and developing commercial contracts for services is an advantage.

Note to all applicants: This role will require weekly travel to all member and partner organisations throughout the Borough of Hillingdon.
