The business is planning to increase revenue and market presence in the UK with the Staffordshire office as the UK head office operation and to invest in the best talent available on the market.

Job Description

The French speaking Finance Manager will lead a small finance team and work closely with the senior leadership team acting as an extension of the Country Director in his absence. It is critical to find the right person with the right personality fit, as well as the requisite technical accounting skills.

You will participate in the improvement and growth of the UK and Irish businesses, by proposing value-added monitoring tools supporting the decisions taken by the Country Director.

As the Finance Manager, you will be expected to safeguard the financial health of Petit Forestier UK and Ireland entities. You will also manage and control daily financial and operational transactions, whilst developing corresponding procedures and promote their strict adherence.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for the French speaking Finance Manager position will be focused on managing the small value added accounting function whilst being key in the day-to-day accounts production. This person will act as the main partner to the Country Director for the UK supporting with all non-operational functions.

The successful individual will have the following attributes:

  • A self-assured character to lead in the Country Director's absence
  • Fluent French language skills both written and spoken.
  • Accountancy knowledge and track record (alongside a professional qualification ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • The ability to support, challenge and influence operations with consistent communication including regular site visits
  • Analysis and understanding of operational drivers, constraints and restrictions and creating credible business recommendations through curiosity and interest
  • Developing a presence and reputation within the wider business
  • Comfort in working in a small office environment and able to work with a European parent company
