About Our Client

Privately-owned, firmly established SME that has grown 30% over the past year and continues to build on this success. The business has restructured in order to be aligned to its different market areas, as a result, this is a newly created Finance Manager created to oversee the small Finance team and maximise on the opportunities ahead.

Job Description

  • Group month-end procedures, control & reporting incl. Executive Summary
  • Month-end Reporting Actuals vs Budget vs Last Year
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • All Balance sheet reconciliations i.e. bank, debtors, creditors, VAT & fixed assets
  • Weekly Cash management & Cashflow forecasting 12 month rolling forecast
  • Overhead forecasting & reporting
  • Year end stat accounts
  • Managing the bank accounts
  • Procedures & control around invoice authorisation
  • Payroll management & payroll declarations
  • Oversee a small team, ensuring that all transactions are entered accurately into the purchase ledger, sales ledger, fixed asset records, payroll records and nominal ledger on a timely basis

The Successful Applicant

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)

Leadership skills

Analytical ability

Strong people skills

What's on Offer

Salary on offer, c£35k, plus pension.

It is anticipated that the role will grow to be Financial Controller over the next couple of years.

Commutable from Cheltenham, Gloucester, Hereford, Ross-on-Wye, Stroud, Worcester.
