My client is a London-based firm established in 2015 to manage and invest in renewable energy and water infrastructure assets. The current team has a strong focus on working towards the ambitious growth targets and does this with an entrepreneurial approach.

Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make their first move into industry having recently completed their ACA training contract in practice. The role offers you the chance to develop a broad skill-set in a variable and changing environment. The key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant are outlined below:

  • Assisting the Group Financial Controller on group reporting and board pack presentation, taking ownership for consolidation and year end procedures
  • Continually develop and improve accounting policies and processes to ensure efficient and effective performance of the finance function
  • Drive process consistency across all Regions and coordinate regional efforts towards global process standardisation
  • Updating the loan tracker model and tieing out loan interest and principle balances at month end and quarter end
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the G&A forecast vs budget variance analysis
  • Provide regular and adhoc management information and business support information as required
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects around the group to drive improvements.

The Successful Applicant

Successful applicants will be ACA or equivalent qualified with IFRS and GAAP reporting exposure. Group consolidations and/or multinational exposure (from industry direct or in practice) will be beneficial in this role. You will demonstrate a commercially focused attitude and ideally have relevant sector or energy experience. This role also requires you to have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with senior management and stakeholders. This well rounded role offers an excellent opportunity to develop a technical and commercial skill-set in a fast-paced environment. What's on Offer

The offer to the successful candidate will be £50,000-£55,000 dependent on experience + benefits including performance related bonus, pension, and medical insurance.
