About Our Client

My client is a fast growing facilities management business based in London that is looking for a newly qualified ACA/ACCA accountant to join their corporate reporting team.

Job Description

Specific accountabilities:

  • Contribute to the company's finance function including forging a close relationship with wider Finance Team
  • Preparation of company management information and reports including Management Accounts, Board Reports and assist with the Statutory Financial Accounts.
  • Ensure that all reconciliations are up to date, being responsible for part of the reconciliations and reviewing reconciliations performed by the accounts assistant. Ensure the accounts are fully supported by appropriate backup schedules
  • Running the company Fixed Assets Register and posting associated entries
  • Reviewing Corporate costs in line with budgets and reporting to the Finance Director
  • Support in preparation of the annual budget and quarterly reviews
  • Ensure all financial policies and procedures are current, relevant and adhered to
  • Provide support to the Financial Controller throughout the statutory audit, building a relationship with the auditors and tax consultants

The Successful Applicant

Core Competencies:

  • Newly qualified ACA/ACCA
  • Previous experience of managing a team, potentially out on audit is essential
  • Previous experience of financial reporting and able to demonstrate knowledge of accounting principles and processes
  • Experience in the preparation and monitoring of financial reports, annual budgets and forecasts
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Strong analytical and p[problem solving skills
  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to show continual improvement in an accountant role in the organisational context
  • Advanced level use of Excel
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications
  • A passion for account is essential and the desire to work for a large international brand where international opportunities are regularly presented is key

What's on Offer

A basic salary between £40,000 - £44,000 plus pension
