The business has a growing presence in the global Pharmaceutical market having placed candidates across 20+ Countries with skill sets ranging from pre-clinical through to post approval. They're now looking at the next wave of expansion with office locations across the UK, Switzerland & the US allowing them to operate across Europe and North America which provide our clients with a global staffing solution.

Job Description





Responsible for the overall control of the Group's finance department and financial transactions reporting to the CEO/board





  • Financial management of the business including all bank transactions, treasury matters and credit





control

  • Preparation and maintenance of all financial records including year-end financial accounts and





detailed monthly management accounts on a team and geographical basis

  • Operational plans, forecasting and cash flow management
  • Group consolidations
  • Overseeing finance function of overseas subsidiaries - US and Europe
  • Management of external relationships with the bank, HMRC, lawyers, overseas professional





advisers etc.

  • Business expansion and support planning and related project accounting
  • Bank account management
  • Tax compliance reporting - VAT, PAYE and management of Corporation Tax position with





external accountants

  • Responsible for the management of 2.5 accounts assistants

The Successful Applicant



ACA/ACCA qualified with strong technical knowledge of latest IFRS/UK GAAP standards

  • Ideally prior experience working within a recruitment business
  • Motivated, self-disciplined with a 'solution driven' mentality
  • Attracted to a young vibrant working environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial in nature with the ability to work in a hands on, lean environment
  • Contractor management and modelling experience in the UK and Europe an ideal (Ltd, PAYE,



Umbrella)

There will also be the opportunity to broaden the role and to embrace wider operational responsibilities as the group expands and delivers on its business plan to include company secretarial responsibilities and part of the HR function growing more into a strategic FD role over time.

What's on Offer

Offering around £350pd+ or £65-75k equivalent
